Štenclová studied at the Drawing studio of prof. Jitka Svobodová, the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague between 1999 and 2005. She was awarded the Josef Hlávka Award for her diploma thesis. Her paintings were exhibited while she was still studying. She currently lives and creates in Chvalíkovice near Opava and Ostrava. Ivana Štenclová deals mainly drawing line in its fine artwork. At the same time she is concerned with the border between drawing, painting and sculpture. Her work is specific for the interest in research of interpersonal context, the output of which is an original and authentic intersection of contour lines and temporal vectors coexisting with the idea of portraiture and self-portraiture as an independent visual environment of graphs of human life and pictographs of its uniqueness. The range of art resources used by Štenclová to create her paintings is impressive. The artist uses ink, crayons, pencils, pencils, syringes, melting guns, artificial fibres, paint rollers, laser or self-produced stamps.
